Build the store brief

Plan the view before the sign.

Choose the business, the sign's job and the viewing context. Add the real distance and available width before deciding style or scale.

The date provides planning context; it does not automatically confirm delivery.

Space-first planning

Measure the view, not only the wall.

A sign read through glass from across the street needs different scale, contrast and mounting than a logo behind the counter.

Boutique or apparel · Storefront logo · Through storefront glass

Coordinate the storefront, product discovery and fitting or checkout journey so the neon has one clear job. Prioritise a short, recognisable brand mark that remains legible at the intended distance and angle. Account for reflections, competing window graphics, viewing angle, daylight, hanging depth and a discreet power route.

Store priorities

  • Merchandise category and brand position
  • Customer route from entry to checkout
  • Permanent versus seasonal visual system

Sign responsibilities

  • Logo artwork and protected details
  • Primary approach direction
  • Day and evening visibility

Viewing and installation

  • Photos from the actual approach
  • Glass dimensions and hanging points
  • Daylight, reflections and nearby displays

Take the brief with you

Copy the summary and paste it into the project notes when you upload the artwork.

This builder provides planning guidance only. Final dimensions, legibility, construction, indoor or outdoor specification, mounting, electrical placement, permissions, pricing and timing are confirmed after the artwork and real installation environment have been reviewed.

Choose the correct route

Choose the right route for your store sign.

Start with the type of project you have: brand artwork, straightforward indoor wording or a coordinated multi-sign rollout.

02

Best for straightforward wording

Create a short indoor phrase

Use the online designer for a simple indoor text sign when logo adaptation, outdoor construction or rollout planning is not required.

  • Short permanent phrases
  • Simple counter or feature-wall text
  • Standard single-sign projects
Design the wording
03

Best for retail teams and rollouts

Plan several signs or stores

Coordinate a storefront mark, interior brand point and location schedule as one controlled project.

  • Several signs or design variations
  • Multiple stores or delivery destinations
  • Opening dates and phased rollout
Request a rollout proposal

Use the tailored proposal route for logos, window signs, outdoor work, large sizes, custom backings, several signs or multiple locations.

Street-to-store visibility

One brand. Three customer moments.

A storefront sign, a permanent brand wall and a campaign sign share the same identity, but each one has a different viewing distance, background and purpose.

Where must the brand do its job?

Visibility direction

Street-facing window

Keep the message short, size it for the actual approach and test contrast through the glass in both daylight and evening conditions.

  • Straight-on and approach-angle photos
  • Viewing distance and glass dimensions
  • Reflection, display and cable-route plan
01

Contrast before colour preference

A brand colour can disappear against daylight, reflections or a bright interior. Test the real background and dimmer range before approval.

02

One message per viewing moment

A passerby has less time than a shopper at the counter. Keep street-facing wording concise and move supporting detail to another medium.

03

Show the complete power route

The sign, power supply, controller, connectors and cable path must be planned around glass, doors, merchandise, staff and public access.

The lab is a visual planning aid, not a promise of readability, footfall or sales. Exterior, window and elevated installations may require landlord, property, local authority, electrical or professional installer approval. LED neon does not replace required accessibility, safety, emergency or statutory signage.

Plan the store sign

A larger retail opportunity

Build a Retail Visibility Set.

One coordinated brief

Plan the storefront, permanent interior brand point and flexible campaign sign as one coherent visual system.

01

Create recognition

Window or entrance sign

The primary store name, logo or concise message planned for the dominant approach.

  • Storefront logo or short message
  • Viewing distance, glass and contrast
  • Hanging, mounting and power route
02

Anchor the permanent brand

Permanent brand wall

A coordinated logo or brand asset for the counter area or the store's main focal wall.

  • Core logo or recognized brand icon
  • Product, staff and customer sightlines
  • Wall finish and installation details
03

Add a flexible retail moment

Campaign or seasonal sign

A separate sign for a product launch, seasonal campaign, fitting area or content moment. Keeping it separate from the permanent logo makes future changes easier.

  • Reusable wording, icon or campaign artwork
  • Customer and camera framing
  • Consistent colour and construction

The set is a planning framework, not a fixed-price bundle. Quantity, dimensions, construction, location data, delivery phasing and any project pricing are confirmed in the tailored quotation.

One brand, several stores

Separate the standard from the local variables.

Keep one approved design standard while recording the measurements, power route and delivery details for each store.

Approve one master standard

Lock the neon-ready artwork, colour, backing logic and acceptable variations before location-by-location production begins.

Build a location schedule

Record usable dimensions, surface, viewing distance, outlet, cable route, electrical requirement, destination and opening date for each store.

Validate the first approved unit

For larger rollouts, confirm the agreed artwork and construction details before repeating the standard across the remaining quantity.

Standardise packing and handover

Use store identifiers, destination labels and consistent installation information so the right sign reaches the right team.

From brief to delivery

The store context stays clear at every stage.

Artwork, visibility, technical decisions, approvals and delivery are coordinated around the real location.

Brand, space & date

Share the logo, store type, opening or campaign date, placement photos, measurements, viewing distance and quantity.

Visual & technical proposal

Review the neon-ready interpretation, dimensions, contrast, backing, mounting direction, specification and price.

Approve the proposal & complete payment

Confirm the artwork, installation details, quantities and destinations, then complete payment. Production starts after payment and, when a mockup is requested, after approval.

Production, tracking & installation

We produce, quality-check and ship the sign with tracking and relevant installation information.

Retail & storefront FAQ

Plan visibility, installation and rollout with fewer unknowns.

Clear answers for store owners, retail teams, visual merchandisers, fit-out partners and multi-location brands.

Can you convert our retail logo into LED neon?

Usually, yes, but fine details may need to be simplified or combined with printed or engraved acrylic so the identity remains recognisable and manufacturable. Tell us which brand details cannot change. You approve the proposed interpretation before production.

How do we choose the right size for a storefront sign?

Start with the actual viewing distance, approach angle, usable installation area, logo proportions and competing visual environment. Send straight-on and wider photos with measurements. The mockup can then recommend dimensions for the reviewed design and space; a wall width alone is not enough.

Will the sign remain visible through glass in daylight?

Yes. LED neon signs can work very well behind storefront glass. Daylight visibility is influenced by the viewing direction, window reflections, surrounding light, background, sign colour and size. Send us daytime and evening photos taken from the main viewing direction, together with the window dimensions. We can use them to prepare a realistic mockup and recommend a suitable size, colour, brightness and position for the space.

Can the sign hang inside a storefront window?

Yes. Many customers hang an indoor sign behind the storefront glass with a suitable hanging kit so it faces outside. Share the glass and ceiling area, permitted fixing points, desired distance from the window, nearest power point and cable route. Unusual, elevated or structural installations should be approved by the property and a qualified local installer.

Can the sign be installed outdoors above the entrance?

Yes, when the project is specified for outdoor use. The sign body is IP67. A standard adapter can be used when it remains indoors; if the adapter will stay outside, an outdoor waterproof adapter is required. Dimmers and RGB controllers are not waterproof and must remain indoors or suitably protected. RGB signs require a controller, while a single-colour sign can connect directly to the outdoor adapter without a dimmer. Structural or hardwired work should be completed by a qualified local installer or electrician.

Can we order coordinated signs for several parts of one store?

Yes. A storefront or entrance mark, main interior logo and campaign or content sign can be scoped as one coordinated project. The Retail Visibility Set on this page is a planning framework, not a fixed-price bundle; final quantities and pricing are confirmed in the quotation.

Can you coordinate several stores or a retail rollout?

Yes. Share the master artwork, location list, quantities, store measurements, surfaces, electrical requirements, destinations, installers and opening dates. We can coordinate visual consistency and delivery phasing as one project while keeping location-specific variables visible.

What files and photos should we send first?

Send the best available logo file in AI, SVG, EPS or PDF format if possible, plus a straight-on placement photo, a wider context photo, usable dimensions, viewing distance, wall or glass details, nearest power point, cable direction, indoor or outdoor use, quantity, destination and opening or campaign date.

Can LED neon be used for prices, safety signs or required wayfinding?

LED neon can support branding and selected decorative or directional moments, but it should not replace mandatory pricing, accessibility, emergency, safety or statutory information. Required signage must remain clear and compliant with property and local requirements.

How long will production and delivery take?

Standard orders are typically delivered in 2–3 weeks. Express service is 10–12 calendar days for eligible projects and includes priority production and express shipping. Timing begins after payment and, when mockup approval is requested, after approval. Share your opening or campaign date before ordering so we can confirm feasibility.

Does a neon sign guarantee more foot traffic or sales?

No. A sign can improve visibility and reinforce the brand, but results also depend on the location, offer, customer traffic and wider merchandising. Placement and messaging can be reviewed using your own footfall, POS, QR or campaign data.
